Searching for a Musky

A musky was hanging around the beach dock all last week. One night there was a fishing pole in the water at each pier slip with everyone fighting to be the first one to catch the musky. Mr. Musky eluded them all. It was a sight to see. The kids were so excited about it. they kept coming to me giving me a minute to minute report.

Minnow races continue to be a hit

The Tuesday afternoon minnow races have brought the competition out in all of our guests. Each week there has been at least 50 people at the ebach participating in the races.

When the adults woudl see how much the kids were having they had to have their turn at it also.

Choosing the minnow and putting it in the starting gate is part of the fun.

Fishing with John

One of our 30th Anniversary celebration activities is a night fishing with John. Names can be submitted for a raffle drawing at our weekly picnic. As John says: “I am not a guide, we will just go out for a fun night of fishing.” Depending on interest he will either go out on White Birch Lake or take his canoe to a carry in lake.

Last night John and Curtis went to a carry in lake and had great success catching walleyes. guess what’s for dinner tonight? 🙂

A successful night fishing.

Ice Fishing a success

This past weekend we had a few people up for ice fishing. It was a slow weekend, but everyone hung in there and  this morning proved to be a little different.

Enjoying the snowfall.

More photos from our guests

After two weeks of no sun and misty weather (not even enough rain to help raise the water levels in the lake) we have had beautiful summer like weather this week. 77 degrees here today. Enjoy the latest photos given to us by our guests.

Treasure Hunts

We have had a weekly treasure hunt this year for all ages. The younger kids have enjoyed going on a “bug hunt” while the older kids have their choice between a patriotic hunt or a pirate hunt. There is even a pirate hunt for the teens and adults. Everyone has had a lot of fun with the treasure hunts. This last Thursday there were 55 kids and adults enjoying the fun.

One of the pirate hunt clues had you putting pirate hats in the right order to spell out a word. This team took time out to pose for a picture.

Staying dry on a rainy day.

One of our guests found his bear hat in town. It hasn't left his head all week. 🙂
