Charlies’ final hiding spot
Another summer season of Charlie hiding around our property has come to an end. He has gone into hibernation until February where he will come out to sit on the ice.
The Swart family who was here this last week had two special Charlie moments.
First: Xander is our youngest Charlie finder in the four years Charlie has been hiding at the resort. Way to go Xander! We have determined he had some help from mom. 🙂
Second: Bodie was our final finder of Charlie for the year.

Fishing Seminars a success
Our fishing seminars this year have been a success. This year we tried something new and had the seminars at the beach so the guides could share not only information but show techniques at the waters edge. Thank you to all of our fishing guides who donated their time to share their knowledge with our guests: Bob Bertch, Marty Clauson, Mike Errington, Erv Keller and Russ and Jake Smith.

Charlie updates
Here’s the latest finders of Charlie. He’s getting sad because his time of fun is soon coming to an end with all the kids going back to school.
Records Broken!
The week of August 10th – 17th broke two records! First was the most people at the resort in one week. We topped out at 115 people here this week. WOW! It was amazing to see, every inch of the property was being enjoyed. John and I loved it! This is what having a vacation experience is all about. Many memories were made, friendships strengthened and new friendships made.
The second record was the most people ever at one of our weekly picnics. We served 106 people at the picnic. So much fun!
Balloons, balloons and more balloons!
Larry and Linda learned the fine art of Balloon tying for their grandkids and they shared their talent with everyone at the picnic this week. Thanks to you both for bringing smiles to all faces, young and old!
Cattail and Heron Haus come down
On July 9th the demolition of Cattail and Heron Haus took place. Â What takes so long to build comes down very quickly in the hands of a tractor.
At the end of the day all that remains is the building extension that houses the well head. Thankfully this part of the building was untouched by the fire as the well provides the water to Timberwolfe and our staff housing.
Charlie’s summer adventures
Year after year Charlie continues to have fun hiding on our property. His following is growing. As you will see we have all ages searching for Charlie. We had several Charlie sleuths this summer who found Charlie 3 times in a week. Enjoy the pictures. 🙂
Baby Chipmunk
Sorry I have been absent from the blogging world for the month. The resort has been very busy and there doesn’t seem to be enough hours in a day. These pictures were taken mid June. It was fun watching the mama chipmunk with her little one.
