Another busy week for Charlie

Charlie continues to be a hit with the younger crowd at White Birch Village. Charlie was found, hid, found again, hid again, etc, ect, ect! I think the total for this week was 7 times. Here are the finders and the hiding spots!

Brenden and his Dad finally found Charlie after a full day of looking for him, even the rain didn't stop them looking!

Snuggled next to a building

Next to find Charlie was Kaitlin and Natalie. Every time they tried to find Charlie someone beat them to it. But they were able to find him twice this week. below are their 2 hiding spots.

Hiding spot one took a steep climb to find Charlie

Hiding spot two found Charlie near the waters edge.

Caleb and Russell had fun a couple of time also finding Charlie

In amongst the bushes.

This sport made it hard to see all of Charlie

It got to the point kids were watching to see where the other kids were hiding Charlie, so Sue took over and hid him today. He's still sitting amongst the sawdust!

The continuing saga of Charlie

Charlie continues to be a big hit at WBV.  Here’s his latest adventures. And this was all in one day!

Annie, Andy and Monika find Charlie

Charlie takes a dip.

It didn't take Brianna, Abbey and Alyssa long to find Charlie after they checked in.

They did a great job hiding Charlie, but with the hints they gave their brother and cousin it didn't take long for Charlie to be found.

Congrats Jake and Alec on your quest to find Charlie.

They found a great shelter for Charlie.

Saying Goodbye

With all our repeat guests this group has become really good friends and it’s always hard to say good-bye after a great week of having fun together. The good-bye lasted about 1/2 hour in the parking lot.

Hugs, tears and laughter!

First time out on the Water

John and I finally made it out on the water Saturday. Our boys joined us for a night of fishing. It was a beautiful night and with the water levels good we had no problem getting the pontoon boat through the channel.

Enjoying family time together.

John caught a musky on his new walleye rod. It was about 32 inches in length.

Picnic Time

We’ve had several picnics so far this year only one had to be in the rec building due to rainy weather. Our weekly picnics are always so much fun. It’s a great way to talk with other guests and to have a great meal.

It's was a cool windy day so everyone was staying warm while grilling their meat.

Catching up on old times!

DSL arrives at White Birch Village

We are all so excited that the telephone company is offering DSL to our area. We are all hooked up and all our network router issues have been resolved.  Now when the rain is falling and it’s cloudy outside you can still connect to the internet. Good-bye satellite! We hope you will enjoy the faster speed and constant connectivity, I know we sure do!

We had a bad router that was only allowing us on certain websites and the blog was one it didn’t like, so we apologize for the few posts lately. I’ve saved up pictures and will add them today.

Happy 4th of July

Wishing everyone a Happy 4th of July.  Currently it’s raining here at WBV, but hopefully it will clear up by tonight for those going into town for fireworks.
