Tree Planting

In 1995 Carol and Dick let people plant trees around the newly landscaped Rec Building. you will see how much they have grown. If you planted a tree, do you remember which one is yours?

Snow, Rain, Ice equals Mess

This past week has been a huge mix of rain, snow and ice, and what a mess it makes. John I took a stroll around the property on Monday to make sure no trees went through a roof. As you will see it is going to be awhile before Charlie falls through the ice. We start spring cleaning in a week…..should be interesting. Here’s what we found………

White Birch Village Olympics

I’m not exactly sure what year this took place, but I think it was around 1999 or 2000. I tried to figure it out by how old my kids were in the pictures. One of the weeks I was up here vacationing I organized the White Birch Village Olympics. How many of you remember all the fun?

Believe it or not!

Believe it or not Charlie is sitting in a blizzard this afternoon. If you look hard enough you can see the shore line behind Charlie. Winter is hanging on with a vengeance this year. Not sure when Charlie will fall through the ice.  Stay tuned………

P.S. We are still ice fishing!

Ice Fishing still going strong

Even though spring is officially here, ice fishing is still going strong. Last weekend our son Brian and John’s good friend Todd came up for some late season ice fishing.

The Polls Are Closed

We would like to thank everyone who voted in our Ice Out Contest. A record number of you voted this year. We doubled our votes from last year; a 100 votes were cast. Who is going to be the lucky winner? With winter hanging on strong this year the March votes look doubtful. It is snowing and is 14 degrees as I write this. Below is how Charlie looked yesterday, March 20th. Stay tuned for any change in Charlie’s situation.

Seeing double?

It’s time for a Charlie update…… be sure to cast your vote for when Charlie will fall through the ice. I’ve extending the vote date to March 20th. Send me an email at [email protected] with your date and time Charlie will fall through the ice.

8 inches of snow fell on Monday and Charlie is full of snow. You may also notice the tracks in the snow behind Charlie. We’ve had a bobcat on the property and I think Charlie piqued his interest. 🙂

Yes, you are seeing double. We thought Charlie was feeling lonely, so we let his sport show double sit on the ice with him for the day today.

Hello from Milwaukee

We’re having a great time at the Milwaukee Sport Show. Stop by booth 330 and say hi. The big attraction this year is the 1400 pound Kodiak bear named Brody.
