John & Jody Curtis – Owners

Jody’s mother, Carol, spent her childhood years visiting Wilsie’s White Birch Lodge on White Birch Lake with her parents, Eddie and Naomi Ackerson each year since 1942! Jody’s parents, Dick and Carol, got married in 1958 and continued their annual visits to Wilsie’s White Birch Lodge. In 1962 the resort changed hands and became Motel-in-the-Woods. Carol and Dick continued their annual visits with their children; Sue, Jody, Carrie and Brad. In 1981, they purchased Motel-in-the-Woods and began renovations. In May of 1982, they re-opened the resort doors as White Birch Village. Dick continued to pour his heart and soul into the resort until his passing in 2016. His legacy lives on in the lives of everyone who vacations at White Birch Village. John and Jody are committed to continuing the legacy that her parents built and look forward to seeing all the guests that continue to come back year after year!
