Happy New Year from White Brich Village Resort
....Where memories are made!
!

With the sound of the leaf blowers cleaning up our grounds we are reminded of the beauty that is White Birch Village. We are so blessed to have a property that has so many different ecosystems; the lake that flows into the creek that flows into the marsh area nestled in the beauty of the Northwoods. Amongst these ecosystems this year you were able to see a family of otters, a mink frolicking on the beach, an osprey fishing on the lake, and in the fall the migration of all the birds that came through the marsh including the swans, along with much more. Whatever you were able to experience while you were vacationing with us we hope you took a moment to take in the beauty. 2009 was another great vacationing year. We hope you made many new memories.

We would like to take a moment to say thank you to all of our guests who have recommended our resort to their friends and family. We strive to make this place a memorable vacation for all those who visit here. We look forward to another great season in 2010. See you then.

2009 Highlights

Geocaching – This year we had a geocache treasure hunt on our property. Guests of all ages had so much fun trying to find all the caches using a handheld GPS unit. Over 60 groups of guests participated this year, trying to find the 9 hidden caches and to get that candy bar prize at the end. Everyone succeeded even with the sneaky "fake" rock hiding spot. The geocache will be back again next year with a new twist and new hiding spots!

Naturalist Talks – We were pleased to partner with the Discovery Center this year to provide talks on Black Bears, Loons, Eagles, Wolves, Butterflies and Birding. 225 guests enjoyed the talks and we look forward to partnering with the Discovery Center again next year.

Facebook – Be sure to checkout our new White Birch Village Facebook page. Pictures and discussions are added often. Keep up with the activities going on at the resort throughout the year. Be sure to share the page with your friends.

Music at the Beach – In July we enjoyed the music of Randal Harrison. What a beautiful night it was! We had great violin music and a storm in the background that produced a double rainbow. Eagles glided across the sky and loons sang along. What a perfect stage for an outdoor concert!

Hiking Trail and Birding Stations – In July our trail where the dog run is was widened and graveled. Along the way we have added 2 birding stations with 2 or more to come for next year. Sit in the chair carved out of a log and look across the marsh and enjoy nature at its finest.
