Summer Storm
July 20th we had a strong line of storms hit the area. There were tornado warnings in effect so we alerted the entire resort and offered the basement of the lodge for shelter. Out of the 17 vacation homes 13 of them took us up on the offer. By 8PM the power was out and didn’t come back on for 20 hours. It was very cozy in the game room with people and dogs.
  

Blog/Facebook
Last January the White Birch Village blog began. We have had so much fun posting stories of the resort for you to enjoy. If you haven’t visited the blog yet be sure to check it out. It’s easy to find, go to www.whitebirchvillage.com and click on the “Village Blog” link on our home page.

If you are one of the 500 million users of Facebook be sure to check out our page. Just type in White Birch Village Resort in the search box, click like and every time there is a post it will show up on your wall. It’s fun seeing all the comments people write. As of the printing of the newsletter the page has 171 people who “like” it.

New for the 2011 season
1. Credit Cards: Credit Cards will now be accepted at White Birch Village. We will be accepting Visa, MasterCard and Discover. The higher increase in our rates is due to this new policy. A 4% cash discount will be available for anyone who pays their entire pill with cash or check.
2. Daily Activity Hour: Every day from 1-2 PM there will be an activity hour. Some of the ideas that are being discussed are, water balloon volleyball, treasure hunt, arts and crafts, bingo, critter catching, the ideas are endless. If there is something you would like to see send Sue an email with your idea.
3. New Dog Policy: May not be left unattended in our vacation homes unless they are kenneled. Due to increased damages we need to add this to our policy.

Winter Getaway
Don’t forget the lodge suites are open in January and February. Spend the days snowshoeing, cross country skiing or snowmobiling on the many trails that are close by.
